Passionate by the great works of Amercian filmmakers, Michiel Blanchart started making films at a very young age in his living room with his friends.

In 2015, studying at the IAD he co-directs the short film LULU with Louise Dendraën. He then directed a short film called DYNAMAN a pastiche of superheroes movies.

Fresh out of school, Michiel directed the short film CUL / ASS a stylized blend of comedy and horror, produced by Boucan Films. The movie has been selected in several festivals and won the Betv Award at the Bsff.

His most recent project T’ES MORTE HELENE / YOU’RE DEAD HELEN has won the Genre film residence SOFILM Grand-Est. Supported by CANAL+ and the Belgian FWB, the short film is currently in post-production. He is currently writing his first feature produced by Boucan Films.
